JEDDAH, 8 August 2007 — The Sultan Circus is in town and will open its doors to the public today on an 8,000-square meter area of land located near the former Buharat Al-Qetar on the north coast of Jeddah.
Ahmad Nawaz Bakhsh, general coordinator of recreational projects at Prince Sultan ibn Nasser ibn Abdul Aziz Group, said, “its a small version of an international Pakistani circus.” The circus will host a variety of performances by acrobats, clowns, and trained animals.
“There will be three-hour long performances three times a day and the circus will continue to perform at other cities in the Kingdom,” said Bakhsh.
The circus’ animal performances includes dancing chimpanzees to performances by trained camels and zebras. It will also include a performance by the world’s shortest Pakistani man on the world’s smallest motorcycle, he added.
The group is preparing to launch a new project on an 800,000-square meter plot of land. The project includes a large zoo and shall be a permanent base for the Sultan Circus.
