Charity Doles Out Bad Donated Food

JIZAN, 14 August 2007 — Fourteen people, including seven children, suffered from food poisoning from food donated by a charity organization in Jizan, the daily Al-Riyadh reported. The charity was distributing food to poor families. Most of the people were treated and released from a nearby hospital. The food had been donated from various wedding banquets and so the origin of the tainted food would be difficult to find out, authorities say.
