Young Wife Allegedly Commits Suicide

MAKKAH, 14 August 2007 — A 17-year-old Asian woman allegedly committed suicide after she had an argument with her husband, the daily Al-Nadwah reported. The young woman threw herself from the third floor of a residential building in Al-Sharie district. Police detained the husband for questioning. The man told police that he had a verbal disagreement with his wife. He left the room where she was staying and when he came back he could not find her. When he looked out the window he found her on the street in a pool of blood. Police believe it is a case of suicide, but are still investigating.
