JEDDAH, 22 August 2007 — Members of the Filipino community in Jeddah are invited to attend a symposium on investments at the Ramada Continental Jeddah (formerly Al-Harithy Hotel) on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Organized by the Philippine National Bank (PNB), the Kapihan forum is meant to introduce the various deposit products and services that are available at home to the Filipino overseas community, said Roberto R. Constantino, PNB representative in Jeddah.
Constantino said the forum will give more OFWs a chance to learn about the various options they may avail of, such as the Philippine government’s Treasury Bills and Treasury Bonds. These instruments, he said, used to be beyond the reach of most Overseas Filipino Workers. The minimum has been lowered drastically and are being offered through the PNB.
He also said the PNB offers added bank services to those who wish to avail themselves of the Bank’s Global Filipino Auto Loan and housing loan programs.
The Auto Loan program is a self-liquidating vehicle loan project.
As the seats are on limited, interested parties are encouraged to make reservations by calling Constantino at 05033-45418 or Elsa T. Masa at 05575-47035. Reservations may also be made by e-mailing [email protected] or [email protected].
