ABHA, 26 September 2007 — Cases of drivers caught running red lights or driving at breakneck speeds in order to make it home on time to break their daily fast is reported on a daily basis in the local media. But barbers who injure their customers while giving them super fast hair cuts gives the term “Ramadan Rush” a whole new meaning. The daily Okaz reported yesterday that an Asian barber’s rush to get his work done so he could break his daily fast got him beat up by one of his customers. The barber was rushing his job and on numerous occasions his customer told him to take it easy. After one nick too many, the customer who was bleeding from the repeated cuts, got fed up and beat him up. Later, at the hospital and in front of police who were about to take the customer in for booking, the barber forgave his attacker as a Ramadan gesture.
