RIYADH, 7 January 2008 — Kingdom Holding Company is sponsoring the 2nd Global Competitiveness Forum organized by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA). The forum will be held here from Jan. 20-22, with the support of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Talal Al-Maiman, executive director of development and local investments at KHC said that KHC's sponsorship of this economic event confirms the company's belief in the importance of this forum to encourage competitive economic growth in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, Al-Maiman said that KHC's sponsorship of the forum also confirms its support of SAGIA, with Amr Al-Dabbagh as its governor and chairman, and its role in pushing toward increased performance and diversification in the Saudi Economy through many significant initiatives like the Global Competitiveness Forum.
This year, the forum on global competitiveness is themed competitiveness as an engine for economic growth. The international event will be attended by high-ranking government officials and Saudi businessmen who will present papers aimed at shedding light on the Saudi experience and its attempts to increase economic competitiveness to further propel global competitiveness.
