YANBU, 12 January 2008 — An Egyptian expatriate was beaten up by a group of men shortly after leaving a mosque in Yanbu following Isha prayers on Thursday. Worshippers coming out of the mosque separated the man from his attackers before calling police. The Egyptian national was taken to hospital having suffered a wound to his head and a broken nose. It is unknown what prompted the attack.
