Almajdouie Toastmasters Mark Jubilee

DAMMAM, 22 January 2008 — The Almajdouie Toastmasters Club (MTC) celebrated its 100th meeting recently at the group’s headquarters here. Abdullah Almajdouie, president of Almajdouie Group, was the chief guest and guests of honor were Abdul Razaq Al-Turki, LGM, District 79, and Abdul Latif Al-Harthi, Division “F” governor. Many prominent Toastmasters from the area and vice presidents and divisional managers of Almajdouie and members of MTC attended the event.

The newly elected committee of Almajdouie Toastmasters Club under the leadership of Abdul Mohi was sworn in and installed by Area 9 Governor Abdullah Sayyalah.

The newly elected committee members are: Naser Bawazeer, vice president for education; Izaz Ahmed, vice president for membership; Altaf Khan, vice president for public relations; Raged Tamimi, treasurer; Abdul Razaq, secretary; and Gasper Siraj, sergeant at arms. All the past presidents of MTC, Niaz Ali, Adam Shaikh, Khaja Zakir, Mohamed Rafiq and Abdul Rahman, were felicitated for their performance in their respective tenures.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Otaibi, senior Toastmaster from Aramco, conducted a workshop on “How to Prepare and Deliver Winning Speech.”

Almajdouie, during his speech, emphasized the importance of communication in today’s world and extended his full support for MTC. Al-Turki and Al-Harthi lauded Almajdouie for starting the first corporate club in the Eastern Province and highlighted the benefits of Toastmasters program.

The meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks to the chief guest and guests of honor and all the members for making the event a grand success.
