JEDDAH, 29 January 2008 — An exotic range of the world’s luxury cars will be exhibited at the Jeddah Hilton for three days from Feb. 3.
“More than 1,500 luxury and ultra luxury cars worth over SR4 billion are sold in Saudi Arabia annually, and their increasing demand necessitates a dedicated show,” Adel A. Shakoor, president of XS conferences & Exhibitions, told a press conference late Sunday.
Luxury and super luxury car sales have been increasing by 27 percent annually. The Kingdom accounts for all motor vehicle sales amounting to SR22 billion a year.
Fifty of the best cars from the luxury segment worth over SR40 million will be exhibited at the show. There will be a seminar alongside the show on safe driving with the participation of Jeddah Traffic Police and experts from the car-racing world including Mamdouh Kayat, a rally champion and general manager of Fast Auto Technique. The exhibition will cover 3,600 square meter area at the Hilton Hall. The National Commercial Bank will be among the participants showcasing its financing products for potential car buyers.
