RIYADH, 14 February 2008 — Dr. Mohammed Abdul Waheed, a senior teacher of the International Indian School in Riyadh, died of a heart attack in a local hospital on Tuesday. Abdul Waheed was rushed to hospital after he complained of chest pain and nausea while on duty. He passed away four hours later.
Abdul Waheed, who held a doctorate in Urdu and a diploma in teaching Arabic, joined the school in 2004 as an Arabic teacher. He worked as shift supervisor in the Computer Center of King Saud University, Riyadh. Before coming to the Kingdom he worked with All India Radio and the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Abdul Waheed is survived by his wife Safiya Begum and two daughters. He will be buried at Ummul Hamam graveyard after funeral prayers at the Hara Mosque tonight.
