Consul General Visits Makkah Prison

JEDDAH, 21 March 2008 — Pakistani Consul General Zaigham Uddin Azam visited Pakistani prisoners at a Makkah prison on Wednesday. He talked to 20 of them individually and inquired about their wellbeing. Azam assured them of all possible legal help and said the consulate would assist them in pursuing their cases. The consul general, who was accompanied by Consul (Welfare) Chaudhary Shoukat Ali, told prison officials that he had been advising the community to abide by the rules and regulations of the Kingdom and not to violate the law of the land.
