JEDDAH, 27 March 2008 — A man who killed a Saudi youth in Al-Jamia district of Jeddah was arrested yesterday in Riyadh, a security source told Arab News. The man had fled Jeddah following the murder.
After his arrest, the man admitted to stabbing the youth during a dispute and locking his body inside his apartment. After the discovery of the body, police secured the murder scene located close to King Abdulaziz University.
Forensic experts were able to identify the suspected killer from fingerprints at the youth’s apartment. Officers also found a knife used to stab the youth, who was with a relative a few hours before his murder.
Police learned that the killer frequently visited the youth’s accommodation.
