Saudi businessmen claim all the time that Saudi employees cannot keep jobs and constantly look for other employment. They say they are less willing to hire Saudis because they have a tendency to leave at any time.

Did these businessmen ever ask why Saudis leave jobs? Do Saudis leave jobs to become unemployed, or do they do so looking for better-paid jobs?

Before we ask ourselves why Saudis leave jobs in the private sector, we should ask what type of incentives are given to stop them from doing so.

Saudi businessmen want to pay Saudi employees the same salary employees from developing countries earn; they also want Saudi employees to accept the same incentives that foreign workers are given and do not give thought to the cost of living in the Kingdom, which — compared to the cost of living in the home countries of foreign workers — is very high.

Businessmen are aware of this, but they refuse to compromise their profits to give more incentives to Saudis and achieve a balance.
