Undoubtedly, Saudi females in today’s world are becoming more eager to play their part in the progress of the Saudi society. They have a desire for openness and for acquiring new skills and knowledge. Realizing this fact, LG Electronics decided to launch its cooking academy in Jeddah to help achieve aspirations of Saudi females especially that the initiative comes in line with LG’s strategy in the area of corporate social responsibility.
LG, the global & regional digital leader, and United Yousef M. Naghi Co. Ltd., LG home appliances and consumer electronics products distributor in Saudi Arabia, launched their first cooking academy in the Saudi Arabia earlier in April at an event attended by several distinguished guests. The LG Cooking Academy will offer women a valuable opportunity to learn about cooking styles and methods, nutrition, and health. Entrance to the LG Academy will widen the relationship and social activities with other ladies and have an opportunity to experience LG’s new high-tech products with a feel of touch.
LG Cooking Academy will be another factor that will publicize LG brand among Saudis. In this context, Simon Lee, LG’s general manger in the Kingdom says, “I believe that the cooking academy initiative will improve LG visibility among females, who are the main decision makers when it comes to buying decisions of home appliances and consumer electronics. Our future plans include expansion to other regions in the Kingdom next year.”
Shon Kim, LG’s senior product marketing manager, invited Saudi and expatriate women to join the academy. “Trainees will get the opportunity to experience various cooking techniques using LG’s latest home appliances and new technology products such as SolarDOM,” Lee added. “LG Cooking Academy will enable trainees to learn how to prepare special healthy and nutritional foods and also for people with special needs. Notable chefs, specialized doctors, and nutrition specialists will teach our trainees how to do that.”
