JEDDAH: Students of Bangladesh International School (English Section) have done exceptionally well at the University of Cambridge International Examination A level and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Examination O level, results of which were published recently.
At the A level examination, Abdullah Mohammad Salimullah topped with 4As and 1B. Umme Humaira Jashimuddin received 3As and 1a^, Taha Mubashir 3As and 1B and Akil Mohammed Habibullah 3As and 1b^.
The school’s IGCSE O level results are also excellent and surpass all previous records, according to school Governing Board Chairman Mohammed Khaled Akhtar. All 38 students who took the IGCSE exam passed, with 25 of them securing A* in different subjects.
The O level achievers include topper Mohammed Rayyan Fasry with 8A*’s and 1A, Mohammed Salman Islam 8A*’s, Samiha Sultana 8A*’s, Farhan Adib Ahmed 7A*’s and 2 As, Munjer Mohammed Hashim 7A*’s and 1A, Rumana Rafiq Ullah 7A*’s and 1A and Muhammad Shafile Rashid 7A*’s.
Others include Fayez Anwar, Khaled Shahab Chowdhury, Haya Shadab Ali, Farhad Ahamed Dawood and Farhana Meghami Zulhash.
Mohammed Rayyan Fasry, Mohammed Salman Islam and Samiha Sultana got school scholarships. The school’s gold medal winners are Abdullah Mohammad Salimullah, Mohammed Rayyan Fasry, Mohammed Salman Islam and Samiha Sultana.
