AL-JOUF: Police in Domat Al-Jandal in northern Saudi Arabia said yesterday that they discovered at a location about seven kilometers away from Al-Jouf the body of a young Saudi lying near his car with gunshot wounds.

They said the man was in his 30’s. A rifle was found near the body, which was removed to Domat Al-Jandal General Hospital after forensic examination.

Col. Daman Al-Daran, spokesman for the local police, said they suspect that the man had committed suicide but an investigation was under way.

Meanwhile, police in Jeddah are investigating the suspected murder of an Arab expatriate whose body was found in Aziziah district on Tuesday.

Col. Misfar Al-Juaid, spokesman for Jeddah police, said the marks and bruises on the body suggest that the man was killed after a bloody fight.

Al-Joaed did not disclose whether police arrested any suspect or whether they are following any leads.
