Robbers target cars in Makkah

MAKKAH: Robbers fired guns at four stationary cars in order to smash the windows to rob them in Al-Awali and Aziziyah districts of Makkah, said Maj. Abdul Muhsin Al-Mayman, official spokesman for Makkah.

Al-Mayman told Arab News that a team of investigators had been formed to follow up on the thefts and arrest those responsible.

Police say they also recovered two cars that had been used by the thieves.

The two cars had earlier been reported as stolen.
