The game-changing gameboard
Whether you’re rescuing hostages or saving humanity, you don't want to worry about hand fatigue or hitting the wrong key. With that in mind, take a look at the Logitech G13 advanced gameboard — a hybrid gaming keyboard for total control on a Mac or PC. Available now for $79.99.
Its contoured design complements the natural shape of the hand and the smooth, concave home-row keys make it easy to locate buttons by touch. With three game modes, 25 programmable keys and a programmable analog stick, the G13 gameboard offers up to 87 ways to control your game. Plus you can set up custom button-profiles for each title. You can even create macros on the fly without having to pause the game.
And for another tactical advantage, the 160-by-43-pixel GamePanel LCD shows live game stats, system info and even messages from other players. The G13 gameboard has backlit keys that help locate the right key in low-light conditions. Select from hundreds of available backlight colors, so your gameboard looks just the way you want it. A handy solution for the laptop gamer, the G13 gameboard includes onboard memory, letting you program up to five ready-to-play profiles and take them with you to your next LAN party. The G13 gameboard also offers pre-configured settings for many popular games.

Marketplace for your knowledge
Mahalo, the human powered search engine, has launched a crowd-sourced Q&A feature, which creates a marketplace for your knowledge. When anyone submits a question, he can offer a “tip” of a few dollars through PayPal to whomever can give the best answer. There are point systems to rate members and Mahalo dollars that drive the economy. Each Mahalo dollar is worth 75 cents in real US dollars. Once an answerer has collected more than $40 Mahalo dollars, he can cash them in and Mahalo will send out a check, keeping 25 percent.
Helping navigate the slopes
South Korean Mirip Tech has a new product called Swing Dr. — a swing simulator designed to enhance off-field golf practice by simulating the uphill and downhill slopes of a golf course. This tilted surface practice machine was developed over years of research for the purpose of making an accurate and convenient indoor simulation of the varying ground levels of a real golf course.
The product is available for indoor golf practice facilities and is also available in a screen format that utilizes virtual reality. The screen model of Swing Dr. is connected to a computer program and can be used with all on-screen golf software. The product can create angular slopes up to 15 degrees in any direction, accurately simulating golf course terrain. In addition to a built-in automatic tee-up function, the product also boasts motor-driven technology that, unlike the standard hydraulic system, results in minimal noise and breakage.
