JEDDAH: The Prince Sultan University College for Women (PSU-WC) has collaborated with INSEAD-Graduate Business School and will be hosting a seminar this month entitled, “Women Leaders in Organizations: Challenges, Tensions, and Trade-off.”
The event will take place on Jan. 17, on the PSU-WC campus and is limited to businesswomen especially invited by the organization. The seminar will be followed by a workshop specifically designed for students of business majors at the university.
Speaking at the seminar will be Elisabet Engellau, adjunct clinical professor of management at INSEAD (Fountainebleau/Singapore) and Katty Marmenout, research fellow at that INSEAD Abu Dhabi Center.
The speakers will discuss the challenges faced by women leaders in organizations and will highlight what’s holding back women, based on the extensive executive coaching from INSEAD. Also to be highlighted will be the initial findings of some of the challenges for working women in the Middle East and how these women are coping with role expectations. Following the seminar, a student-workshop entitled “Work-Life-Balance” will be conducted in two parts and includes two focus groups with a presentation by Marmenout to follow the interactive discussion.
