Pakistani worker buried alive

MADINAH: A Pakistani construction worker died when the sides of a several-meter-deep trench he was digging collapsed and buried him in Al-Jarf district of Madinah yesterday. A Civil Defense rescue team dug out the body from dirt shortly after the accident.

The district police are investigating the accident and have urged contractors to take safety precautions when they undertake digging operations in the area.
