MADINAH: Madinah Gov. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majed has ordered the formation of a committee to investigate the death of a 17-year-old youth who was electrocuted while walking along a metal barrier set up on the side of a construction ditch following rains in Madinah last Friday.

Rakan Awad Al-Anzi received the fatal electric shock while walking along the barrier that had electric currents running due to contacts with a live wire.

Al-Anzi’s father accused the contracting company carrying out the project of being neglectful. The father refused permission for an autopsy insisting that he has evidence to prove the contracting company is responsible for his son’s death.

Forensic authorities wanted to carry out an autopsy as the body had bruises. The father, however, insists on burying the body without an autopsy.
