MUMBAI: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray launched his party's website www.manse.org in English and Marathi languages.

The website is far better compared to those of the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and that of Narendra Modi. The website, however, has no mention of the party's electoral programs.

The website speaks of the objectives of the party and has a separate section devoted to Raj.

Speaking to journalists about his website, Raj said he intends to make the youth aware about Maharashtra and about the agenda of his party and its stand on issues. "It has been my mission to work for the betterment of Marathi people, Marathi language, the state and the overall Marathi culture. My political vision reaches far beyond mere electoral politics," he said.

"The website, that is both in Marathi and English, aims to support Marathi businessmen, professionals and other Marathi ventures," Raj added.

Political analysts commenting on the MNS website said that Raj would be using the website as a medium to campaign for the Lok Sabha polls. "Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray had decided to campaign for his party through its mouthpiece Saamna due to his poor health condition. But Raj, who had earlier been banned from holding rallies after he made provocative statements against the north Indians, would express his views and run poll campaign through his website," they said.

Raj has made it clear he has no plans to contest the Lok Sabha polls.
