JEDDAH: A new international school will start functioning in Jeddah this month. Mahdul Uloom International School will be operating under the guidance of IAME (Ideal Association for Minority Education), a Kerala-based group of highly educated professionals, renowned scholars and eminent educationists who have been making outstanding contributions to the intellectual and spiritual enlightenment of Kerala community over the last three decades, school officials told a press conference here recently.
The school, which is located near Madain Fahd Government Dispensary on Makkah Road, has a capacity to accommodate 2,500 students. “Our motto is to impart education with moral input,” one official said.
The school, which will follow India’s CBSE syllabus, has started admissions from L.K.G. up to seventh grade. The school officials stated that the Montessori system will be followed in the KG sections.
A language lab also will be set up to help the students gain proficiency in spoken English.
Classes will begin in the second week of April. Students of all nationalities except Saudis will be admitted to the school. The monthly tuition for L.K.G. to 4th grades will be SR175 and from 5th to 7th grades will be SR200. The admission fee will be waived for 200 students who register first, they added.
