JEDDAH: A large number of women are expected to participate in an educational and recreational festival organized by Taiba Women’s Charitable Society at Jeddah Equestrian Club here today.

Princess Nuha bint Saud bin Abdul Mohsen will open the festival sponsored by the Knowledge Economic City (KEC) in Madinah.

“We are happy to support such charitable activities,” said Taher Bawazir, CEO of KEC. He said the festival would help strengthen family relations by inculcating educational and social values among the participants.

The SEC is one of the projects of King Abdullah Housing Foundation. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah is the chairman of the foundation’s board of trustees.

KEC is the diamond sponsor of the festival whose revenues would be used to support Taiba Children’s Village in Madinah, which was established to take care of orphans in the province.

The festival aims at highlighting the heritage of the city of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Bawazir said. “It also aims at achieving a number of social and educational objectives by strengthening the relation between the society and children of the village,” he added.
