I watched his show on CNN (The American Edition) when I was in the US two years ago, and I was immediately hooked by his sarcastic yet very honest and direct attitude. Mr. Glenn Beck not only is a charismatic daily host on Fox Channel, but also very true to The Original American Dream that we, the 60’s and 70’s generation, were raised to admire.

In one of his daily shows he questioned the negative effect we, in the larger world, feel toward America these days. His sad comments stemmed from his patriotic soul since he himself is a 60’s child.

Answering your questions Mr. Beck is easy and it is the essence of our dilemma too, you see. We were raised to admire the quest for imagination that was ignited by the great Walt Disney. It was a fire in the world of kids back then, and now, Walt Disney still is the guru in the heart of even the slums — and because he made it the American Way. We believed him and we believed and admired the family prodigy and its values in the name of the Osmonds.

We, the world, are as sad as you are Mr. Beck that the stimulus plan does not include the Real American Dream.

Dear Nadia,

I am a collector of old maps and I have been looking for such maps on the Internet. I am going to visit the Middle East very soon. Can you please tell me where I can find authentic items?

— Robin, Spain

Dear Robin,

I know, for sure, that many old maps are now in museums but, of course, there are many private collectors. I guess the best way to find out — and maybe save time — is to advertise before you come.

Best of luck!
