JEDDAH: The Saudi Basketball Federation Al Jawal League drew to a close at the weekend with Al-Ittihad way out in front winning its 11th league championship with a record of 21 wins and 1 loss.
Al-Hilal, Ansar, and Ohud followed in that order with the same record of 17 wins and 5 losses each. Ahli, Wehdah, Fath and Nahdah complete the top eight.
The top eight playoffs start today at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports Complex in Jeddah.
The teams are divided into two groups. Group A comprises Ittihad, Ansar, Ahli, and Fath. Group B has Hilal, Ohud, Wehdah, and Nahdah.
Today’s games will be Ohud and Wehdah, Hilal with Nahdah, and Ittihad vs Fath. Tomorrow’s games will be Nahdah against Ohud, Ansar at Ahli, and Weddah at Hilal. The first game is at 4 pm., second game at 6 p.m., and the third game at 8 pm.
