Body of woman found near Yanbu

YANBU: A mutilated body of an unidentified woman believed to be Indonesian was found late Monday in a desert area 18 km north of Yanbu, the police here announced Tuesday. The body was taken to Yanbu General Hospital.

The body showed signs of beating and had been burned in an apparent attempt to conceal the victim’s identity.

Last year the body of an Indonesian woman killed and disfigured in the same manner was found in a garbage container near Yanbu. A forensics team is examining the body and an investigation is ongoing.
