MADINAH: The health affairs department here has formulated a comprehensive plan to provide consummate health services to citizens, expatriates and visitors during the holy month of Ramadan, acting director general of health affairs Muhammad ibn Habibul Rahman Habib said.
“We will provide curative, preventive and ambulance health services in hospitals, health centers, inlets, place of accommodation of visitors and main roads leading to and from the Prophet’s Mosque,” he said.
Habib said health services would be provided through a number of health centers including: Bab Gabriel seasonal health center to the southeast of the Holy Mosque, Bab Al-Rahma seasonal health center to the northwest of the mosque, Land pilgrims’ health center on the Universities’ Road, Prince Muhamamd ibn Abdul Aziz Airport health center and Yanbu Commercial Seaport, Al-Yatamah health center on the Hijrah Road.
The hospitals in Madinah that will remain on alert to provide medical treatment to visitors during Ramadan are:
• King Fahd Hospital — the only specialist hospital in the region consisting of all medical specializations including a kidney dialysis unit.
• Uhud Hospital at the central area around the Holy Mosque.
• Al-Ansar Hospital.
• Al-Miqat General Hospital. It deals with epidemic and tropical diseases. It also treats injuries resulting from accidents on the Tabuk-Madinah Road.
• Yanbu General Hospital, Al-Hanakiya Hospital. It has various medical specialties and provides treatment to the victims of accidents along the Riyadh-Madinah Ring Road.
• Al-Hamna Hospital on the Makkah-Madinah Expressway providing services to people traveling by road and residents of the area.
