Pharmacy raiders routed

RIYADH: Police here arrested three men who were robbing pharmacies, the daily Al-Watan reported on Sunday. Authorities believe the men who traveled in stolen cars entered pharmacies brandishing guns and took away the cash registers. The men were caught when police stopped them for acting suspiciously as they prepared to enter a pharmacy. The arrested men led police to the hidden booty from previous raids, including several of the cash registers.

Eight injured in Taif road crash

TAIF: Eight Burmese men were injured after their car collided with a water truck in Taif, according to Sunday's Al-Riyadh newspaper. The men had been commissioned to lead prayers during Ramadan in surrounding villages. They are convalescing at King Abdul Aziz Specialist Hospital. Four of them were in serious condition in the hospital’s ICU.

Search on for missing wife

YANBU: Police in Yanbu are searching for a woman in her 20s who disappeared last week when she was waiting inside her husband's car outside a grocery store, Al-Watan newspaper reported on Sunday.
