Sidelights: Ministry of Education fails to pay rent

RENYA: A Saudi man closed down a building he owned and rented as an elementary school after the Ministry of Education stopped paying rent. A source from the ministry blamed the problem on a local contractor who was suppose to finish a new school building in the same neighborhood. Teachers were denied entry to the school after the owner chained the doors. The owner of the building said that the ministry did not make the payment and ended the contract. The new building was supposed to be finished by the middle of Ramadan.
