MADINAH: Over 3,500 people, including permanent and seasonal employees, will be working under Madinah’s Guides Establishment to welcome Haj pilgrims to the Prophet’s Mosque, said Walid bin Mustapha Al-Numan, member of the Guides Establishment’s board of directors.
Al-Numan said guides have begun work to establish three reception centers, 17 field service offices, four lost pilgrim offices, 10 auxiliary offices and six executive boards following approval from Haj Minister Dr. Fouad Abdul Salam Farsi.
He said preparations also include acquiring 1,300 desktop computers, laptops, wireless devices, microbuses and motorbikes. Al-Numan stressed that the Guides Establishment has mobilized all of its resources and is all set to receive pilgrims.
Meanwhile, Sahl Saban, assistant undersecretary for pilgrim affairs at the Ministry of Haj, giving details of the reduced-cost services to domestic pilgrims, said pilgrims in the A1 class will pay SR3,900, in the A2 class SR3,700, in the B class SR3,400, in the C class SR3,200, in the D1 class SR2,800, in the D2 class SR2,400 and in the E class SR1,900.
