JEDDAH: Budding interior designers can learn the tricks of the trade from the experts at the first Deco Fair in Jeddah. Over 1,000 representatives from 200 companies are taking part in the event at the International Exhibition and Convention Center for the first time in the Kingdom. It will demonstrate a range of styles, from classic furniture to the latest contemporary international designs
Sunaidi Expo, a new event management company managed by Haya Al-Sunaidi, is organizing the fair.
“Demand for furniture is growing rapidly and we have never had a décor exhibition in the Kingdom before,” said Al-Sunaidi.
Some exhibitors, such as Christian Frigo and Andrea Menegazzi of Francesco Molon, came from as far as Italy, hoping to crack the Saudi market.
“We are excited about our first time in Saudi Arabia and taking part in this event. We have been around the world promoting our work but it is worth it to be here,” said Frigo.
Participants have been working on their stands for over ten days now despite reserving their places a month ago. Al-Sunaidi believes it is an opportunity to promote the companies participating and the furniture industry as a whole.
The fair runs till Nov. 12.
