JEDDAH: Dabbagh’s Supreme Foods Group opened its new modern, state-of-the-art automated meat processing factory at the Jeddah Industrial City on Saturday. The ceremony marked the handing over of the factory to Jamal Dabbagh, a shareholder of the group. The new plant aims to produce high volume chicken, beef and other protein products to customers’ specifications.

The factory’s output is expected to exceed 100 tons per week and possess the potential to double the volumes to meet short term and future demands. “This is one of the four projects the group has planned,” Sean Holder, managing director of the Supreme Group, said in his welcome address. Jamal Dabbagh, a shareholder of the group, opened the factory.

“Our three other projects are: SR30-million hatchery unit for 100 million eggs per annum in Riyadh to open in May, a SR78-million project for chicken, beef and vegetables to open in November, and a SR130-million processing plant in Shaqra by February 2011,” Holder told Arab News.
