JEDDAH: Pakistan Ambassador Umar Khan Alisherzai has urged the community to send their remittances through normal banking channels.

“Expatriate Pakistanis should forge unity in their ranks and files, work for the prosperity and progress of our beloved country and send their hard earned foreign exchange through normal banking channels,” he said while addressing a gathering of the Pakistani community in Taif on Saturday.

The ambassador advised them to refrain from involvement in politics and abide by the rules and regulations of the Kingdom, which has provided them a safe environment to earn livelihoods.

“Back home, we are passing through difficult times but we will soon come out of this crisis, and grow and prosper,” he said. “Pakistan has been blessed with strengths and positives and nobody should underestimate our capabilities. The unanimous National Finance Commission award in a democratic set up is a testimony of our unity and cohesion.”

Earlier, he addressed teachers and advised them to impart quality education to the students to prepare them for the future. The ambassador lauded the Kingdom for extending its help and assistance to Pakistan and its people in all odds and difficulties.
