JEDDAH: Pakistan Ambassador Umar Khan Alisherzai has urged the community to facilitate those who are enterprising and want to start their business. “They should also influence and persuade Saudi investors to invest in Pakistan for there are greater profits in places where there are higher risks,” the envoy said while addressing a reception held in his honor by Pakistan Investors Forum earlier this week.

Alisherzai said the situation in Pakistan would soon be normalized and the country would be able to provide maximum facilities to the foreign investors. He also asked them to regularly interact with their Saudi partners and serve both the Kingdom and Pakistan.

The ambassador said he would be happy to inaugurate even a small shop to be opened by a Pakistani, for he keeps them dear who contribute precious foreign exchange to the economy of the country.

He invited the investors to participate in the seminar on private partnership being held in Dubai on Jan. 26 to explore the possibilities of more opportunities for investment. The presence of such a large number of investors in the gathering is a testimony of the potentials of Pakistani people and their resolve to serve the Kingdom, he said and thanked the Kingdom and its government as well as Saudis for “helping us in difficulties and odds.”

Forum General Secretary Chaudhary Shafqat highlighted the activities of the organization.
