JEDDAH: A private clinic in Jeddah’s Rabwah district was closed on Sunday for operating without qualified medical and technical workers, an official told Arab News.
“A committee set up by our department inspected a clinic and found violations of working without qualified doctors, nurses, technical workers and laboratory technicians. The committee ordered the instant closure of the clinic,” said the Director of the Medical and Pharmacy Licensing Department in Jeddah, Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Jawad.
“The committee keeps a constant watch on medical facilities in the private sector in Jeddah in order to guarantee clinics and hospitals follow strictly regulations and maintain the required standards set by the ministry,” the official said.
Urging all medical establishments in the private sector not to neglect any regulations, he said: “Violators will be punished either by closure, heavy fines or other punishments depending on the gravity of the violations.”
