Anti-tobacco campaign planned in Taif

The exhibition housed in a bus will tour around the city and stop at public grounds and major streets and visit schools and colleges. A television screen will also be used to highlight the harmful effects of cigarettes, sheesha and snuff apart from preventive measures to be taken against common diseases.
The Director of Health Affairs in Taif Abdul Rahman Karkman commended the initiative of Saeed Al-Zahrani, director of operations and wireless communication, for planning the mobile expo. The Health Department had in the past launched a mobile blood bank and general and dental clinics, particularly on occasions when tourists visit the city in large numbers.
