Anti-Speed Race in Al-Kharj today

“The last to reach the finish line will be the winner,” said the race’s organizer, Prince Naif ibn Mamdouh, adding that stopping or stalling the vehicle would disqualify the racer.
“The idea of the race is based on control and self-restraint and is aimed at enlightening people against the hazards of speed and the perils of ignoring traffic rules.” 
The event will include different races for different categories of people, including the blind who will race on a special track. 
“Every age group has its own race. Like rallies and F1 we have designed our own special cars. This is a new idea in the world,” he said. “The race has been registered at King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology as a new industrial model.”
