Court sources did not name the doctor but told Arab News he was the plaintiffs’ boss and they all worked at a government hospital in Jeddah.
They also said the judge acquitted him due to the weak and unsubstantiated evidence provided. The Prosecution and Investigation Commission interrogated the doctor and held him in prison until his court appearance.
The doctor’s lawyer Wail Fakeeh said the court was fairer to his client when it summoned the two plaintiffs and listened to their false accusations before reaching a not-guilty verdict.
He added that differences at work prompted the Saudis to retaliate by complaining about their boss to the authorities.
He said the verdict was final as the court of cassation approved it.
