Armstrong finished seventh overall, 1 minute, 23 seconds behind winner Frantisek Rabon of Team HTC-Columbia after Sunday's final stage.
The seven-time Tour champion said he was not worried about his result but “aware” that improvement was needed.
Team RadioShack boss Johan Bruyneel says Armstrong did “OK” but needs more racing. Next month's Sarthe-Pays de la Loire in France would be the most likely addition.
Armstrong finished behind fellow Tour front-runners Denis Menchov and Bradley Wiggins after an average time-trial ride on Saturday.
