Applications for Abdullah scholarships from Saturday

“The organization is keen to give a chance to all specializations which the graduates have been trained in during diploma studies while focusing on the technical and vocational specializations which are instrumental for development,” Dr. Saleh Al-Amr, deputy governor of the organization for planning and development, told Arab News.
Al-Amr, who is the general supervisor of the scholarship program, said the program was aimed at qualifying Saudi cadres in various technical and vocational specializations in order to meet the demands of the labor market.
“The program targets men and women graduates of technical colleges and institutes of the organization and the two industrial colleges in Jubail and Yanbu. The graduates must be holders of intermediate university degrees,” he said.
According to Al-Amr, the countries to which Saudi students will be sent are: the US, Britain, Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland, Finland, Norway, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and India.
