Lt. Col. Ali Al-Muntashiri, spokesman for the Civil Defense, said the fire happened just before 11 a.m. in a bedroom. “The Civil Defense teams were able to put it out before it could spread elsewhere,” he said.
He added that 20 people who were in the building at the time were evacuated and that no one was hurt or injured.
He also dismissed the possibility of foul play and said that according to preliminary investigations the fire was accidental.
