High school ransacked, guard attacked

RIYADH: Police here are investigating an incident at a high school in Riyadh's Nadeem district where a school security guard was assaulted by an unknown number of students, the daily Al-Yaum reported on Thursday. The group had broken into the school and ransacked a number of archives inside. They then detained the school guard, roughed him up, took his mobile phone and threatened to harm him further if he went to police. The guard went to police anyway and they instigated an investigation.
