The 11-point agreement was signed at Umm Al-Qura University in Al-Maabadah district by its rector Waleed ibn Hussain Abu Al-Faraj and the Islamic University’s vice-chancellor Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Okala.
“We will endeavor to achieve progress in all fields of mutual benefit to strengthen understanding and cooperation and upgrade the scientific and educational level of teachers and researchers,” said Al-Faraj.
Al-Okala said the two universities would reap the benefits of the agreement. “Under the agreement, we will exchange expertise, scientific and cultural knowledge as well as teachers,” he said.
He added that the two universities would also cooperate in student activities and higher education. The two universities formed a joint committee to follow up the implementation of the agreement.
