Besides doctors, health workers, researchers and families of children with autism, the meeting was attended by Prince Turki, head of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME), Prince Sultan bin Fahd, head of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare, and senior government officials.
Prince Sattam also opened an exhibition held on the sidelines of the forum, which started following the three-day Autism Festival.
The event, which coincided with the World Autism Day, was sponsored by King Saud University Hospital, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Prince Salman Center for Disability Research.
In her speech, Princess Al-Jowhara bint Faisal, head of the Mother of Prince Faisal bin Fahd Autism Center, expressed her thanks to Crown Prince Sultan for his support, which comes as an extension of his continuing efforts in support of autistic children both materially and morally. She also expressed her thanks to Riyadh Gov. Prince Salman and his deputy for their spontaneous interest in the activities of the forum.
