According to Haia sources, "The Haia Presidency has completed the first phase of distributing walkie-talkie sets to their members in major cities and regions in the Kingdom. The members will begin using them after arrangements are complete to set up operation rooms in those cities within a few days."
In the first phase, wireless sets were distributed among members of the Haia in Riyadh and other major areas in Riyadh region as well as in Makkah, Jeddah, Dammam, Alkhobar and Al-Kharj.
The General Department for Field Affairs at the Haia has been entrusted with supervising the implementation of the project, the sources pointed out. The new measure comes as part of a number of measures being taken by Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Humain, head of the presidency, to improve the functioning of Haia members by providing them advanced facilities and equipment.
