“My brother’s skull will be scanned to make sure that he is safe and free from any harmful elements,” said Abdul Salam Mahmoud Al-Shanqiti, brother of the injured religious attaché, in Riyadh on Thursday.
The diplomat’s relatives plan to travel from Riyadh to Nairobi on Thursday evening to discuss his health with doctors at a local hospital and coordinate with the Saudi embassy in Kenya, Abdul Salam said.
“My brother, who has three daughters and a boy, has been working as a religious attaché in Nairobi over the past five years after working in Pakistan. He is known for his gentle and humble character and no one is known to have been harboring enmity toward him,” he added.
