The accident happened last Friday when his bicycle was hit by a speeding car while he was on his way to college in Tokyo. The student, who received serious head injuries in the accident, died before reaching hospital.
Funeral prayer was held at the Islamic Center of Tokyo before the body was repatriated, Al-Riyadh daily reported on Thursday. The bereaved family members, relatives and friends of Abdullah arrived at King Abdullah Airport in Jazan to receive the body on Monday morning.
Abdullah spent nearly one and a half years in Japan after getting accepted to a Tokyo college under the Kingdom’s national scholarship program.
