I will not argue with the minister about his defense of the decision of the CITC. He is free to adopt any attitude that suits his convictions but I will simply ask him: If the matter concerns protecting the rights of the shareholders which should not be dissipated by telecommunication companies through offering free roaming calls, does his keenness to protect shareholders' money include the amounts being paid by these companies to sports clubs such as rewards for championships and stars and loans to these clubs to meet their commitments and pay the salaries of the players?
If he is keen about the rights of the shareholders, is it not within the right of the shareholders to benefit from this keenness to preserve their material and moral rights in terms of the problems of bills, obstruction of transferring numbers among service operators and the floods of publicity text messages?
The rights of the shareholders are the responsibility of the Ministry of Commerce but the rights of the subscribers are the reponsibility of his ministry and the CITC. I wished he had given more thought to the rights of those who enable the telecommunications companies to gain huge profits rather than concentrating on those who receive these profits.
