Prince Salman invites Norwegian students for studies in Kingdom

Prince Salman also met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, who commended the efforts of Saudi Arabia to achieve world peace, particularly with its initiative of interfaith dialogue.
The prince emphasized the existing cordial relations between the two countries. The prince also called for increased mutual visits by officials and businessmen of both countries.
He added that Norwegian students were welcome to study at the Kingdom's universities.
Prince Salman also referred to the achievements of Saudi Arabia in the field of higher education, citing the examples of King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST) and King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). Riyadh has begun the process of setting up a Saudi Embassy in Oslo following Prince Salman’s announcement on Thursday that the two countries are to further cement diplomatic ties. The prince also met with Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Store. He attended a dinner hosted by Norway's Minister of Research and Higher Education Tora Aasland. During the meeting the minister expressed her wish to send students from her country to KAUST and said she would welcome Saudi students to Norway.
